Helmut Floss

Helmut FlossHelmut Floss began his study of Aikido in 1991 at the Seattle School of Aikido. He subsequently moved to Two Cranes Aikido, where he directed the children and teens program from 2000 to 2009. He then returned to the Seattle School of Aikido to direct our children and teens program, using his experience and expertise to bring vitality to the dojo's training programs.

Helmut teaches children and adults. He holds the rank of yondan (4th degree black belt), as well as the rank of sandan (3rd degree black belt) in Aikibojitsu (long staff), and was awarded his instructor's license by Tom Read. Helmut is also a student of Icho Ryu Aikibudo.

Helmut Floss directed the Seattle School of Aikido kids/teens program from 2010-16, after teaching for nine years at Two Cranes Aikido. He now lives in New York.
